The Code Ocean team is on a mission to make the world's computational code and data easily shareable, reusable, reproducible, and preserved. We are building a cloud-based platform enables researchers to develop and reuse their computational code and data, collaborate with their peers and make their work public for the benefit of humanity.

Based in Midtown Manhattan, we are seeking an enthusiastic and resourceful individual to assist our Founder & CEO as well as manage office operations to ensure that our team can perform at the highest standards.

Job responsibilities

  • Lead professional obligations of the CEO, appointments, and meeting scheduling, logistics, etc.
  • Manage/coordinate all facilities and related purchasing
  • Coordinating new hire setup, including office space, IT equipment, and supplies
  • Support HR-related office and people management projects
  • Provide detailed data, information, and resources in preparation for meetings and events
  • Plan and lead various types of meetings and events on a global basis, including meetings of the board of directors
  • Ensure adherence to travel and expense policies
  • Contribute to finance and accounting processes
  • Flexibility in schedule to provide assistance outside of normal business hours, if needed
  • Support other duties as reasonably requested by the company while handling multiple tasks and switching priorities and focus as needed

Job qualifications

  • Experience as an Office Manager or Administrative Assistant with necessary knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems and procedures
  • Fluent with various technologies and platforms (i.e. slack, G-suit, etc.)
  • Strong time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize work
  • Excellent verbal and written interpersonal skills
