Complete Account Details

Before publishing an algorithm, make sure that you've completed all of your account details. If any required details are missing, you will need to complete them, save and then click Publish again.

Before You Publish

Publishing your algorithm on Code Ocean will make it discoverable and accessible to everyone.

Once published, your entire algorithm (including code, results, and details) will be frozen - so it might be a good idea to review everything before submitting. Here are a couple of helpful pointers:

  • Be sure to fill out the description with a summary describing your algorithm (or an article abstract).

  • If your algorithm is associated with a published academic article, enter its information or use the DOI and we'll fetch it automatically for you.

  • Facilitate discovery of your algorithm by picking relevant tags or creating new ones.

  • Select a license for you code and data. If not selected, published algorithms will default to a MIT license for the code and CC0 for the data.

When you're done reviewing your algorithm details, click the Publish button (either at the top, or at the bottom of the details page). Once submitted, your algorithm will go through a quick verification process (which could take up to 5 business days), and you will be notified by email once it's published.
